A horse and rider at The Cowboy Way Ranch in the Flint Hills of Kansas starting another row of fire for the spring burn of their 1,000 acre ranch. The land had not been burned for the past two years so there was very thick undergrowth which caused the dark smoke which blocked out the afternoon sky and sun.
