Konza Prairie Burn Canvas Print

l had to go to Manhattan, KS for a day of training for my job this spring. As I was heading home in the late afternoon I saw smoke over the hills several miles ahead of me and started to get excited. I had been hoping to get a shot of the burning of the Flint Hills and finally got a chance to do just that. It was a very hot fire which makes the center of the smoke brighter than the surrounding areas. I would have loved to have gotten closer but the crew wouldn't allow that.
